Traditional Uses of Seling Labuyo
A. Leaves
- Used a dressing for wounds
B. Fruit
- Made into strong infusion and applied on ringworm
- Made into warm lotion and applied for rheumatic pains.
- Made into soft, heated preparation, spread on cloth and applied on sore or swelling
- Eaten fresh to promote digestion
- Eaten to increase sexual desire

The leaves are excellent source of calcium, iron and Vitamin B. They are also good source of potassium and Vitamin A
Recommended Medicinal Uses:
For Rheumatism – Crush fruit, mix with oil and apply on affected aprt 3-4 times daily. Aviod using near the year
For Indigestion and ulcer – make a infusion of fresh leaves using one tablespoon per cup of boiling water. Drink after meals.
For wellness: Eat one cup of fresh leaves everyday.
